How do retries work for scheduled transactions?

Last updated on July 19, 2021

With Omise, you can set up 2 types of schedules — a charge schedule (subscription/recurring payments) and a transfer schedule.

Failed charge schedule

When a scheduled charge fails, it will be automatically retried on the following day. Charges have a maximum of 2 retry attempts. If it fails 3 consecutive times, the schedule will be marked “suspended” and will no longer work.

Failed transfer schedule

A scheduled transfer can fail for 2 reasons.

  1. The recipient account has not been verified or activated. In this case, the transaction will be marked as “failed”.

  2. There are insufficient funds in your account’s transferrable balance. In this case, the transfer will be retried again on the next business day. Systems will continue to retry until there are sufficient funds in your transferable balance and the transfer is successful.
